He calms the storms
and stills the waves.

Summer sunsets here usually lack any remarkable color. The marine layer settles in late afternoon and obscures the sunset. It remains until morning and slowly lifts. It is one of the reasons our summers are so pleasant on the coast with temperatures averaging mid 70s F. But there are the days when I read the sky and notice something different, like yesterday afternoon. I decided to take a ride to the local beach just in case it would be one of those red sunset evenings ... and it was.
