Can you feel sorry for a forest? These conifers are so close together there is no space for paths to walk among them, in their forest. This is a production forest, for our enormous need for wood in all kinds of applications. Tree trunks stand faithfully in line to do the only thing they can, namely be sawed down, like soldiers. So yes, in a way this is unfortunate and a change should be found to give these trees a little bit more living dignity, because they are living beings (just like the chickens in a chicken farm). My proposal: run a footpath through them and explain what the wood from these trees could be used for. Also also add that, while growing, they help us reduce athmospheric carbon dioxide levels and produce oxygen.
