Blacksmith demonstration at the Eclipse Festival in Mountain View, Arkansas. The area is well known for its preservation and teaching of traditional Ozarks arts and crafts, plus they were in the line of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse.

Previously I posted a photo of the totality taken with my Nikon.

All the photos leading up to the totality -- including this one -- I took with my Google Pixel cell phone.

My husband and I traveled to Mountain View, AR to experience four minutes of totality.

The talented leaf-curling spiders are orb weavers that protect themselves from predators by sitting inside a silk seamed, curled leaf.

There is a profusion of these here currently, but each curled-leaf retreat a miracle in itself.

Endemic to the eastern areas of this country. Genus Phonognatha, perhaps graeffei.

Female, 10 mm body length.
