Taken back last year at the BTCC event the minis provide an exciting support class filled with thrills and spills. Coming out of the Chicane this No 7 car went flying off into the gravel trap but somehow managed to keep it going and get back into the race! It was one of those moments of excitement as a photographer where blind panic set in and I just had to shoot on the settings I was on. Thankfully at 1/640 I was able to catch this... if I was being picky I'd prob say shooting at 1/250 may have been better to get just a little more wheel spin and gravel fly motion... but as I'd been shooting them straight on as they came round the corner then I'd been set at 1/640 and I never would have had the time to rethink and change the settings. I think to get the perfect crash shots you almost need to be in place on the right settings at a corner you know they come off at... and almost wait not shooting till one does come off!
