Proxy Falls in the Three Sisters Wilderness area of Oregon.
The road to the trailhead was closed for the Winter, but I hiked the 2 1/2 miles to the trailhead, the falls is another 3/4 of a mile on the trail from there, about 6 1/2 miles round trip... Since the road and trail were clear from snow due to the mild Winter the hike wasn't bad. When I got to the bottom of this 226 foot falls I stood there in awe for a while looking up as I set up my tripod. This is another spot I had completely to myself and the numerous cascades lent to several composition opportunities. There are two falls off the trailhead, upper and the lower Proxy Falls. What you see here is the lower falls and it's the more photographed of the two. I also got some shots of the upper falls and will post them later.
