In August, both males and females come back to the same territory in Hawai‘i year after year, and each spring around April 25, leave their wintering grounds for nesting grounds in Alaska and Siberia.

Yellow Warbler. Whitemud Creek Edmonton Alberta. I took this back in 2007 with my Canon 20D and ef 300mm f/4L IS lens. Still one of my personal favorites. I have this framed hanging on a wall here inside my home in Corona, CA.

It reminds me of my many walks through the various parks in Edmonton Alberta Canada when I lived there year round.

Not only does Edmonton have the largest shopping mall in North America, called West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton has over 460 parks. The river valley parks are referred to as a "Ribbon of Green", they provide a unique urban escape area with park styles ranging from fully serviced urban parks to campsite-like facilities with few amenities.

At 7,400 ha (18,000 acres) in size and 48 km (30 mi) in length, the river valley parks system consists of 22 ravines, which have a combined total length of 103 km (64 mi). It includes 11 lakes.

It is also the largest expanse of urban parkland in North America.
