Some good folks have suggested I lose the blue tinge to this shot. It turned out to be excellent advice, as I think this looks a lot better. All advice and critcism greatfully accepted. Thanks.

After much to-ing and fro-ing, this is what I have settled with. A number of really good photographers have given me advice on this. Due to limitations in the original, few of the improvements could be done without a price. Most notably being the need to move the boathouse away from the center of the shot.

This would have come at the price of losing some sky. I did a bit of both but had to compromise a bit.

Not sure what I can do now. I think I'll sit back, admire a reasonably decent shot, learn from the advice I received, and resolve to do better next time.
