Mobile Journalism Conference (#mojocon), Convention Centre Dublin.

I had planned to move onto Cambridge photos, but decided to share a few portraits from the conference as some of these were a departure from my normal work, or went back to my original 'Sir Cam' style. First outing with the Fuji X-E2 and 16-55mm lens.

Mobile Journalism Conference, Convention Centre Dublin. I do like how the lines pull the figure upwards. Or perhaps they're reaching down towards him. Or, that's his thoughts!

You may have seen this image: it's a part of Apple's iPhone World Gallery with the hashtag #shotoniphone.

Brendan O Se is a talented iPhoneographer from Cork, Ireland, where he is a university teacher. Congratulations to him on having his photo selected for a worldwide campaign showcasing what you can achieve with the native iPhone camera.

He's also a happy and friendly person. At the conference he made a special effort to seek me out:-) It was a real pleasure to connect with a few of the top smartphone shooters.

Mobile Journalism Conference, Convention Centre Dublin. Broadcaster Shadi Rahimi spoke about her experience as a #MoJo reporter for Al Jazeera, giving examples from her coverage of the #Ferguson riots in the USA.

Later, at the storytelling session, I noticed her sitting on the floor at the back of the conference hall, probably filing a report. It was pretty dark and I saw her face lit up by the screen light. I wasn't sure I'd get much of a shot in the darkness but you can judge the result for yourself.

ISO 2500, handheld, 1/35. For low light work, I'm beginning to love this new Fuji 16-55mm f2.2 lens in the way I enjoy the Canon 85mm 1.4 and the 135mm.
