I shot this photo at the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado. This adolescent bald eagle was not one of the saved animals at the sanctuary, but wild and just looking for some scraps…and possibly some mice. We were amazed when he came and landed right next to us. :)

TWAS has been rescuing exotic wildlife and endangered species since 1980, and is currently home to more than 290 Lions, Tigers, Bears, Jaguars, Leopards, Mountain Lions, Lynx, Bobcats, Servals, Wolves, and other wildlife. These animals were abandoned, abused, illegally kept, or came from other terrible situations. The vast majority of the animals were so-called “pets” - and were confiscated by law enforcement officials - usually within the first six months of their lives. The sanctuary also provides a permanent refuge to surplus animals from zoos and other wildlife facilities.

150! it doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of the 365 project, but I like it none the less. 365 is such an odd number, it's hard to tell where the milestones are. I suppose some quick math would help, but still, there's a part of me that really associates the century marks as being something worth celebrating. 150 just seems impressive.

this is by far, the most dedicated and consistent I've ever been to any one artistic endeavor. in the past I've made music albums and pursued life as a musician (playing gigs & practicing regularly), but that wasn't something I did everyday. mostly music came in short bursts of inspiration and creativity…one song a week or sometimes a month. with the 365 project I have to find inspiration and a creative spark daily…and that truly is a joy for me.

thanks to everyone who have left me comments! I don't have to tell you how great it feels when you can inspire someone to want to say something about one of your images. it's fuel for the creative engine.

I cheated a little bit today. this image was actually taken last week at House on the Rock while I was on my vacation in Wisconsin. I loved this shot so much I wanted to save it for my 150th. I'm in the middle with my best friend Dave standing to my left...we are watching the world's largest carousel. :)

Anya watching some Cat TV. it has become quite obvious how captivated I am with this cat. she has popped up in quite a few of my 365 photos. it's almost like she can hear the camera come out it's case.
