As some of you may remember the end of June is the time for the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run which snakes its way on the old immigrant trails across the Western Sierra Nevada from Squaw Valley to Auburn. It is one of the first 100 mile races in the world and a tough one. This year the organizers had to change the course due to an extra ordinary amount of snow.
