... and, hopefully, they will be running Saturday. A lot of smoke in the Sierras might shut down the Western States 100 Mile run for the first time in it's 35-year history. As a matter of clarification, these shoes belong to my husband and should carry him the first 25 miles through the snow and sludge. But, right now, we don't know if that's going to happen. Waiting for updates from the WS100 website.

UPDATE: Those shoes won't be running - the run has been cancelled. Well, Paul's 70th birthday definitely hasn't been cancelled and even more people will be partying at Squaw Valley now that they don't have to stay in shape ;-). Still, it's a real bummer.
