This morning I led a walk for the local municipality. We were learning to identiffy the local fauna and found evidence of, or saw and heard many interesting species. It was a small group and during a coffee break (lucky things that we were) I photographed Doug.

Sydney is a city of over four million people yet close to its heart, large areas of native bushland can still be found. Our garden backs onto this rainforest gully which is only 8 km. / 5 miles from the Sydney Harbour Bridge near the city centre. From our garden we can walk through bush for about 20 km., virtually without crossing a road.
