This morning I visited Martin Place, in the aftermath of the Lindt Chocolate Cafe siege. The number of floral tributes left by ordinary citizens was extraordinary, and even at the early hour of 7.30am more flowers and messages of hope were arriving.

Built in 2013 Destine appears to have been recently transporting oil between Botany Bay and Sydney Harbour
In the background the giant crane, formerly in use at Garden Harbour, is being dismantled and is slowly disappearing from view.
