Taken while the stars were still visible, just as the sun started to lighten the dawn sky and the spectacular volcanic peaks. The long exposure has blurred the steam rising out of Mt Bromo.

Just spent a great weekend in the Yorkshire Dales.
This is a waterfall called "Hardraw Force". It is reputed to be England's highest unbroken waterfall (not including underground falls).
I asked Nat to stand to the right of the falls to add a sense of scale.

Another shot from my recent trip to Jordan. This is the Monastery at Petra. It was carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans in the 1st Century BC and is over 50m high! Reaching this vantage point involved some serious rock-climbing with a tripod in my hand and a camera around my neck… not easy!
