The Autumn Equinox: the day when the sun shines directly on the equator, and the Northern and Southern Hemispheres receive equal amount of light. It's also the time when my mind eagerly shifts from the dullness of the final weeks of summer, to anticipation of the earth's gradual transition to the quieter seasons, where the land takes a long siesta in order to recreate its energy for the springtime renewal. Of all the seasons, I think I love autumn the most--for its colors, crisp days, and cool evenings.
