Canyon Tree Frog, Hyla arenicolor, 5 - 5.5 cm. / 2 - 2.2 in. Species native to rocky plateaus of southern United States. Semi-arid rocky habitats near a permanent water source. This one wanted so urgently to have its picture taken that it jumped from a rock, up on to my camera body (and slimed it)! The undersides of this frogs legs are light orange, but can be yellow also. They are able to vary body coloring to match their habitat.
