Barn Swallow (American), Hirundo rustica erythrogaster, 17 cm. / 6.75 in. COMMON. Forages over open fields and ponds. Nests almost exclusively on structures, such as under bridges or house eaves.

American Kestrel (Northern), Falco sparverius sparverius, 22.86 cm. / 9 in. COMMON in many open habitats from reset grasslands to meadows to brushy fields. Often perched on roadside wires or fenceposts. Nests in tree cavities, birdhouses or crevices of buildings.
