Swallow-tailed Gull, Creagrus furcatus, 51 - 58 cm. / 20 - 22.8 in. COMMON ENDEMIC. Nocturnal gull seen from the boat, roosting on the cliffs. Flocks of this gull would follow our boat at night making their strange, chuckle-laughing call.

Woodpecker Finch, Camarhynchus pallides striatipectus, 15 cm. / 5.9 in. Locally COMMON resident and ENDEMIC. One of the few species in the world that uses a tool, having learned how to manipulate a twig or thorn in it's bill to pry insects out of crevices.
