The mosque behind our hotel; unfortunatly I can't recommend Efes Otel. It's expensive for what you get, but I think that's generally the case in Rize. It was hot when we were there, and there was no fan, no a/c, no window screens, no mosquito net. Ther

Somehow we didn't get to try local food while in Rize. We ate typical Turkish food that was good but more expensive than in other parts of Turkey.
