It was rather disturbing to come across this poster campaign in Yazd (in March 2015). Iran is one of the world's great demographic success stories -- from one of the highest birth rates in the world to one of the lowest in about a generation. Indeed Iran's birth rate is less than the US's, something that surprises many folks over 40 who haven't paid much attention since university. That's one of the facts that Hans Rosling points out when he's trying to prove you're not even as smart as a monkey.
