First S24O - I had this date, the first Tuesday after DST started, chosen for a while for the first S24O. We ended up getting very lucky with the weather. It was probably the warmest day and night of the year so far. Even with the great weather, Jack was the only one who wanted to join me. We found decent camping in the Lefthand OHV area. We had to bicycle by people shooting guns to get up to the road where there were some campsites, and we had to put up with a couple groups of motorcycles passing us, but we managed to find a site where it'd be fun to come with a big group. And the camping was legal! I didn't expect that so close to Boulder. To top it off I found the perfect bottle of wine on sale.
We met in Boulder at 4:30pm and had plenty of time to get to the campsite in the light. We got up at 6:30 the next morning. I showered at home and was at work around 8:30. The ride back was fast since it was mostly downhill. We just had the one climb up Old Stage from the north.
