First attempt ever at a staged portrait... and it's a self-portrait.

I want/need any and all feedback - please don't hold back. Particularly, any suggestions on lighting without studio lights, BW conversion and other post-processing are very welcome.

What a true patriot. I'm not sure exactly how this would translate into english (the direct translation would be "I heart Nicaragua, in whore"). Maybe a native speaker could help with a better translation? I'm thinking it's something along the lines of "I heart Nicaragua like a mother f**ker" or something along those lines.
