2022 has been an unbelievable experience, full of fantastic exhibitions and events in relation to my photographic work.

In total contrast to this my wife's country of birth (Ukraine) is going through extremely challenging times. I can only hope that 2023 will bring new times of lasting peace and stability to all people, wherever they live. For now let's look forward to a very cosy, pleasant and equally peaceful Christmas!

Great news! The publication of the first book on my work is scheduled later this year. A first step was done last fall, when Saal Digital Nederland gave me the opportunity to design and produce this photo book to try out the quality. In return I promised them to share my review, which you can read beneath. What do you think about it? What are your experiences with photo book publishing? THE REVIEW
• For creating the album there are two options: one can use the free software of the Saal website, but as a graphic designer I was very happy being able to design everything in Adobe Indesign (using the templates of the Saal pro section)
• After the design was ready it was fairly easy to upload the cover and inside pages to the website. Production went pretty fast: within a week my book was sent to me by mail.
• The hardcover (28 x 28 cm) is finished perfectly and the pages open up very well and completely flat throughout the book (no bending pages).
• The paper used is heavy and therefore easy to handle.
• The glossy finish makes the photos pop out fantastically, but perhaps next time I might try the matte finish.
• The print quality is very good as well. All photographs come across very brilliantly and razor sharp. This also goes for the type design of the titles and other tiny graphical details.

Overall judgment: excellent quality & highly recommended
