BN workin' the low angles at "The Belly of the Hook", Sandy Hook National Seashore, Fort Hancock, New Jersey

BN and I had a great day playin' with plovers at The Hook,
though I have to say he was pretty much layin' down on the job!

FYI - And just so's you know how dedicated BN is about his pics, have a look at the water line on his shirt, and how his shirt is soaked all the way up to his back! That doesn't happen in minutes, and it takes at least an hour for his shirt to suck the water out of damp sand and wick it that far up a shirt!

The vehicle I use to take Space Coast launch pics.
The platform gets me up over the reeds and bushes, and gives a surprisingly different perspective even when there are no bushes in play.
The tripods work fine for the first half minute or so, but after the sound of the rocket reaches my vantage point, the whole car shakes too much to use a tripod mounted camera, and I have to go hand-held with the 300+1.4xTC rig if I want to continue shooting.
For the 10 mile distant Orion launch the Delta IV Heavy had disappeared into the clouds before the sound reached the car, so the vibration (and outright physical abuse) wasn't an issue.
