The strongest Aurora ever, as een from The Netherlands.

Last night I managed to photograph things that I thought were never possible. Aurora activities went up to levels I have never ever seen and reached overhead levels in the Netherlands. KP9 and a G5 storm, something that happens maybe once in 20 years.

Finally I managed to capture classic windmills with a super strong aurora. Something that I thought was only possible in my dreams

I still can't believe this was real.

A single Oak which I see so often in northern Germany which is part of my new homestead now.
My new job allows me to travel almost every corner of northern Germany (Schleswig Holstein) and I see scenes like this one every where, thus I feel my photography will also go in this direction rather than just the mainstay of woodland photography.

It's a challenge for me which I am more than glad to try, the scenery is just outstanding and provides photographic opportunities galore.
Already thinking of a drone investment too, I feel it can also provide a huge advantage to this type of landscape. Although the Tamron long lens worked the depth of field in this image excellently.

The viewpoint from Trælanípa (a.k.a Slave Cliff) toward Lake Sørvágsvatn is not for those afraid of heights. The drop into the ocean is approximately 140 meters, so make sure to be careful when visiting these cliffs. If you feel brave enough to walk to the edge of the cliff, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view of Lake Sørvágsvatn, seemingly floating above the ocean. The height difference between the ocean and the lake is approximately 35 meters.
