Back in late August I took an early morning trip out to Oak Hammock Marsh looking for Short-eared Owls and was rewarded with one sighting of an owl along with many other species... in this photo is a Lesser Yellowlegs that was one of many that were looking for food along the edge of one of the ponds by the main building..
The day turned into a real photo shoot, for after seeing this fellow I was also able to get good shots of Lesser Yellowlegs, Short-billed Dowitcher, Lincoln's Sparrow, American Bittern, Bobolink, Merlin and Rusty Blackbirds...
