A night shot from Cathedral Park on Flagstaff Mountain, directly South of the fires. The bright spot just left of center appeared to be something like a propane tank or some other highly combustible material going off.

A panoramic shot from south of town to give an idea of the size of the bank of smoke from the fire. The hump on the left is the Flatirons, Green and Flagstaff Mountains. On the right is the next town over. By sunset this cloud went beyond the Eastern horizon.
