This is one of those pieces where I have no idea what it actually "means"...but then, some of my favorite artworks, such as Giorgione's "Tempest" (to take a randomish example) have no actual specific meaning (or the meaning is lost), which to me adds another level of mystery to the proceedings. Anyway, this is just a sketch as much as anything...though it looks like it should have some kind of meaning or narrative...but it doesn't. Am I making any sense at all? And does that matter?
