I thought I would show you some different views from our Sunday walk which we did again this morning. I love this picture as it shows the regular dog walkers who obviously stop and chat each morning, but are keeping their distance beautifully. This is half way around the walk and we were heading up to the back of the old church (the path is where the gent on the left is standing). I though Carlene would enjoy this one.

If you want you can see the rest of the walk in the four photos below

I heard on the news yesterday, that apparently, there has been an increase in animals and bird sightings due to the lack of people around. Apart from our neighbour's cats joining us in our garden I have to say I have noticed an increase in birdsong. Phill and I were 'debating' as to whether it is because we can hear them now that local traffic has died down or that there has genuinely been an increase.

This little fellow was singing his lungs out high up on a tree a couple of gardens along from us

We have to decided not to go into the Forest but to walk locally. If the selfish people don't stop congregating if parks and beaches we will be stopped going out for any walk like several European countries.

We live in a small town which lies on the edge of the New Forest National Park and is the last town before you get to the city of Southampton. We live on a busy road, but across from us is a park which leads to a walk along a tidal river and a local sailing club. This morning was glorious and perfect for a walk. Being early meant we only met the dog walkers who normally walk that route so we were able to keep our distance. This picture is deceiving as it looks almost Mediterranean but if you were to look to the right of this scene you will see a container depot (see below). If you follow the water further along (Goatee Beach) you will see the docks of Southampton across the water. I work in Southampton and the road I take goes across the water along a bridge. At the moment I pass all the big cruise ships which are all moored along the dockside with nowhere to go.

I hope you enjoy my walk

Even though I am still working, I find the days all go into one as I have no markers to measure them by. It is nice to have things to 'look forward to' and I am sure we will again.

What is the thing you are looking forward to the most, apart from seeing family and friends? Mine would be having a lunch out cooked by someone else
