Phill has been a fan of Neil Young since his Buffalo Springfield days, Me? I have liked the odd song, loved the album Harvest Moon, but wouldn't call myself a fan but when the opportunity came to see him live we couldn't miss it. I didn't expect to be blown away but I was. I could never imagine myself mesmerised by a 10 minute guitar instrumental, but I was. He did actually start off with After The Goldrush and Heart of Gold but the rest was lift off the powerhouse music The guy is 70 and has amazing energy. The band playing alongside him are Promise of the Real and the guitarist on the left is Lucas Nelson, Willie Nelson's son.

The only way to describe Goldfrapp at the Royal Albert Hall. I have never been there before and it was fabulous. The best acoustics ever. Goldfrapp appeared with a twenty piece orchestra and a choir. Alison Goldfrapp voice is amazing. This is the second time we have seen them this year.

We went to London on Saturday to Portebello Market. Saw these guys busking and stopped a while to listen. They were brilliant and gathered quite a crowd. The two youngsters in the middle are twins and are the 'band' called 2Ice: the man to their left is their father: the guy on the right is a friend and was 'helping them out'.
Phill and I both thought that this won't be the last time we see them. Hope someone snaps them up and gives them a record deal

Last night we went to see Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets.
If you know anything about Pink Floyd you will know that Nick Mason was their drummer. He has recently formed a new band called Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets s to perform music from the early career of Pink Floyd from 1969 to 1972 which includes songs by Syd Barrett. Nick Mason hasn't toured since 1994 so this was a great treat. The night was full blast psychedelia along with some of those wonderful old Floyd songs, Arnold Lane, See Emily Play and Bike to name a few. It was a fantastic gig.
Taken with my phone from a height so excuse the fuzziness. One more in comments below
