We took a Beatles tour when we visited Liverpool. It was brilliant and, if you are a Beatles fan, something I would highly recommend. You get to see most of the places in Liverpool that they had a connection with.

Strawberry Field was in fact a children's home run by the Salvation Army. As a child, John Lennon lived nearby and used to go to the summer garden parties there with his Aunt Mimi.

This is a reflection of the Liver Building reflected in one of the more modern buildings that are being built in Liverpool. I love old buildings but I always think there is room for both. After all, that old building was new once upon a time

Well it made me smile - it's just the way my mind works. We saw this sign in Liverpool but never got to see the amazing humped zebra creature:-)) Maybe we will on Saturday when Amy and Rose come to visit as we are off to the zoo.

The beaches near Liverpool are lovely. This one was at Formby and is 'owned' by the National Trust. It was quite a hike up and down the dunes
