This is the walk we did on Saturday. Durlston is just outside Swanage. We had no idea what 'Dancing Ledge' was before this, but it sounded worth a visit. The walk there and back was only 5 miles but it was 26.5 degrees and absolutely no breeze to be had. Oh and as you will see, there was lots of uphill walking.

We had time to kill when we visited The Hand and Flowers a couple of weeks ago so we checked out what was nearby and ended up at Hughenden Manor - Disraeli's family home. This is a view of St Michael's and All Angel's Church in Hughenden Valley

Out walking along the river in the Hughenden Valley we came across these children and their dog mucking about in the shallow water. Scenes like this always remind me of my own childhood when friends and I would play outdoors and summers seemed endless:-) TV and newspapers would have you believe that all children are stuck indoors on Facebook or playing computer games, but Phill and I often see children enjoying the great outdoors when we are out and about.

The weather here is wonderful at the moment. Blue skies and around 5 degrees - perfect winter weather. On Christmas Day, after the dog 'rescuing' event, we took ourselves off to Hengistbury Head for a walk. We walked along the beach and then back across the cliff top
