I went to the UK Wolf Conservation Trust with a couple of friends today. The hold photographic days there. When I left the house it was hailstoning very hard so I didn't hold out much hope for getting much in the way of photographs. We had already paid up front so it was a case of braving the elements and making the most of it. We got there around 10.00am and sure enough it rained quite heavily on and off for the first hour. But by the afternoon the weather cleared. So be prepared to view a lot of wolf photos over the next week or two.

I have to say this is my favourite and was taken through the window of the office just before we left. This male is around 3 years old and was hand reared as a cub. They sell soft toys in the shop and this beautiful girl loves a game through the window

Well he definitely did that when he looked into my eyes. I was able to stroke this one, through the fence (under supervision I hasten to add) and his fur was amazing. So dense and warm.

Some of you will have already seen this post on Facebook, but he is just so gorgeous I wanted to share him on here as well

When we arrived at the Wolf Conservation Trust is was pouring with rain, so I was amazed I got any shots at all. I love the way the raindrops look like tiny crystals on the tree

"Tala is the only black wolf in the Beenham pack, she has kept the same black coat and white flash that her mother Mai had at her age and just like Mai and Mosi, Tala is showing the same greying markings leading us to believe that she too will develop a lighter coat over the next few years.

Tala has accepted her role as the lower ranked wolf and is happy to have her sister Tundra lead the pack and takes assurance from her and Nuka"
