At first glance maybe an empty merry-go-round coal train but this is a stock move (hence the 69) of 24 IIA wagons from Ratcliffe PS to Wrenthorpe.
I am grateful to Richard Fitzgibbons for this photo as I arrived on site with a flat battery in the camera!

66712 "Peterborough Power Signalbox" comes off the extended Dore S to W curve at the newly re-sited Dore West Jn., working the 4H73 Bescot to Tunstead with a rake of Touax wagons.

The passenger service is the 10:51 Liverpool to Norwich.

Its good to see new photo opportunities arise, and there should be more when the site compound is removed (top right).

The first train to appear (and stop) at the re-modelled station was the 05:15 Sheffield to Liverpool Lime St. This was a non-timetabled stopper, and as such people didn't appear until the following train an hour later, so this event was a damp squib..

Note I am stood on platform 2, the new platform being no 1.
I believe this is in accordance with the numbering of the other stations in the Hope Valley.

Sadly, the lifts were out of order. For photography, the bridge is not glazed and offers a good vantage point. I personally would not need steps, others might.

Taken from the bridge, the first freight through platform 2 was the 6E65 Earles Sidings to Dewsbury cement.
