dad is not too far away
watching her discovering
her life's journey
mum has not been seen for a while
I hope she returns
to see her young one
grow and survive

despite the intense heat
this part of my garden is in the shade
most of the time, the grass has not
been cut but left to grow the best
it can, the birds are able to feel
comfortable and feed, many
young sparrows and this blackbird
has been a delight to see and
to feed and provide water in
these difficult days of heat
