Попрощавшись с осликом Джанго, мы отправились дальше. Я уже готов был ехать обратно, в этой поездке я увидел достаточно, но проводник заверил, что не стоит спешить, ведь самое красивое я еще не увидел. Мы поднимались выше в горы. В какой-то момент тучи стали такими низкими и плотными, что видимость упала буквально до метра, и нам пришлось сделать вынужденную остановку. Спустя час начало проясняться, и мы продолжили свой подъем в горы. В какой-то момент я просто погрузился в собственные мысли, наблюдая как за окном бушует стихия, и вернулся к реальности уже на месте нашей очередной стоянки. Тучи только сгущались, дождь усиливался и нам оставалось только ждать. Когда дождь превратился из проливного в моросящий, я уговорил жену надеть желтый дождевик и стать моделью, ведь вокруг такие фактурные тучи и лучи света, которые пробиваются сквозь них. План был неплох, тем более я оставался в машине. Она даже почти успела занять нужное положение в кадре, когда раздался гром. По-моему, это был отец всех громов. Я не уверен, но кто-то из нас даже взвизгнул. Жена в два прыжка оказалась в машине и заявила, что с карьерой модели на сегодня покончено. Что ж, пришлось снимать как есть и вот что из этого вышло…

Having said goodbye to Django the donkey, we moved on. I was ready to go back, I had seen enough on this trip, but the guide assured me that there was no need to rush, because I had not seen the most beautiful thing yet. We continued our way further into the mountains. At some point, the clouds became so low and dense that visibility dropped to literally a meter, and we had to make a forced stop. An hour later it began to clear up and we continued our way into the mountains. At some point, I was simply lost in my own thoughts, watching the elements raging outside the window, and returned to reality at the site of our next stop. The clouds only thickened, the rain intensified and we could only wait. When the rain turned from pouring to drizzling, I convinced my wife to put on a yellow raincoat and become a model, because there are such textured clouds around and rays of light that break through them. The plan was not bad, especially since I stayed in the car. She even almost managed to take the desired position in the frame when thunder struck. In my opinion, this was the father of all thunder. Ancient, powerful thunder, accumulating strength for a whole year, no less. I'm not sure, but one of us even squealed. The wife found herself in the car in two leaps and declared that her modeling career was over for the day. Well, I had to shoot it as is and this is what came out of it...

4 Tage verbrachten wir in einem urigen B&B (Bed and Breakfast) wunderschön auf der Halbinsel Renvyle am Fuße des Tully Mountain gelegen. Auf 3 Seiten vom Atlantik umgeben, im Rücken die Berge des Connemara Nationalpark. Was ich immer sehr zu schätzen weiss: wenn man von der Unterkunft das Auto auch mal stehen lassen kann und zu etwas unternehmen kann. An diesem Abend sind wir bis ganz vor zur Spitze der Insel gelaufen um die Sonne im Atlantik untergehen zusehen. Ich glaube, auch die Kühe hatten an dem schönen warmen Licht und dem bunten Himmel ihre Freude.
