Gila River Indian Community
Sacaton, Arizona
The C. H. Cook Memorial Church was built in 1918 using an unusual combination of adobe and cement. It is thought to be the oldest Presbyterian church in Arizona. Sadly, the structure was destroyed by arson on March 25, 2019. This image is a scan of a Fujichrome Velvia slide I shot about 2002.
