I had a really good time this weekend canoeing 18.4 miles on Arkansas' Buffalo River with my cousin, Brad Wood. I hadn't floated on the river since 2003, and it was an extra special time returning to where my obsession with landscape photography started. He and I are talking about possibly floating all of the 135 mile river next year.

Deep in the Ozarks of Arkansas lies a waterfall that's called, The Glory Hole. It's a marvelous place where a creek has cut a circular hole through a giant overhanging bluff. Unlike most waterfalls, which are best photographed under soft light, The Glory Hole looks angelic when the sun is above the hole and shines down it with the waterfall.

2015 marks my 20th Anniversary as a photographer, so I decided to post something from back in the day when I was just getting started. Happy New Year, everybody! I hope that you all reach all of your goals and really enjoy the upcoming new year.

For the last night of my spring break I decided to shoot some stuff just east of Death Valley in Rhyolite, Nevada. It was a thriving town in the early 1900s and is now a protected park with a very eccentric art museum located near the ruins. There are some interesting statues and installations outside of the museum, and my favorite is of this statue, "Ghost Rider," by Albert Szukalski. There was a lot of traffic on a Friday night, so I arrived at 3 AM to put together this stacked exposure.

I recently had a super fun and all night photography session with Arcanum Masters, Nicole Zieglerart and Kenneth Hines, and it was funny to see how easily entertained we were with light painting this old tractor in Davenport, California under the light of the Milky Way.
