Portscatho is a small coastal village on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula in the south-west of Cornwall. We have stayed here for several summer holidays and invariably return when we are in this part of Cornwall. There is a small harbour on the side of Gerrans Bay, an excellent well-stocked village shop which among other things sells freshly-baked Cornish pasties, and a wonderful pub - the Plume of Feathers. The views across the bay are among the best in Cornwall.

We stayed at Portscatho, on the Roseland Peninsula in the south of Cornwall, for several consecutive years. Initially we rented a large Edwardian house on the cliff-tops, and after that was sold we rented a cottage at the other side of this harbour. It is a beautiful part of the world, and the views across Gerrans Bay are quite stunning.

We have had many holidays at the delightful little village of Portscatho, a few miles from St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula in south-west Cornwall. The tide is in at present but when it is out there is a gorgeous sandy beach. In the distance is the little cove at Porthcurnick, with Porthcurnick Beach which is owned by the National Trust.

Portscatho is situated on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula in south-west Cornwall. It is a delightful small seaside village with an excellent pub, a village shop where they sell wonderful pasties, a chapel and a tearoom. There is a small fleet of inshore fishing boats which mainly fish for crabs. We've had a number of very enjoyable holidays here, initially renting a beautiful old Edwardian house on the cliff-top (out of shot to the right), and then a smaller cottage near the end of the harbour. It is always a pleasure to return here.

We've spent many a family holiday at the delightful small village of Portscatho, which is on the Roseland Peninsula and overlooks Gerrans Bay in the south-west of Cornwall. At this time of year all the small inshore fishing boats have either been taken out of the water or have found more sheltered moorings elsewhere. In the centre of the picture can be seen Nare Head and Gull Rock.
