At the bottom of Foxton Locks there are now two pubs, a cafe, ample car parking and public toilets, following a substantial investment by British Waterways. As a result, it has become exceptionally popular with visitors.

The Union Wharf in Market Harborough is home to many canal boats and is the terminus of the Harborough arm of the Grand Union Canal. It joins the main waterway at Foxton in Leicestershire.

At Foxton Locks, just outside Market Harborough, the Grand Union Canal meets the Market Harborough Arm. There is a flight of ten narrow locks, which lead into the basin. There are now two canalside pubs.

A canal boat leaves the basin at Foxton Locks on the Grand Union Canal in the direction of Leicester. The bridge over the canal is Rainbow Bridge, number 62.
