12,000 feet above Saas-Fee tractors and bulldozers are lined up ready to keep the pistes in tip-top condition. The photograph was taken from the terrace of one of the highest restaurants in Europe, reached via two ski lifts and an underground cog railway, which completes the journey. The station is beneath the restaurant!
