Wadenhoe is a delightful village in the Nene Valley between Thrapston and Oundle. The watermill is one of dozens which used to take their power from the River Nene, but virtually all have now been destroyed. A mill is mentioned at Wadenhoe in the Domesday Book. The Grade II-listed building is now a private house. It has medieval origins but mainly dates from the mid-late 1700s. In 1838 an additional storey was built on top and the roof raised.
