This shot was taken a short distance from the village of North Hill, on the heavily wooded eastern flank of Bodmin Moor, seen in the distance. The River Lynher, which flows through the valley below, rises near Five Lanes, some four or five miles north-west of here. The Lynher flows mainly south-east for some 20 miles before being joined by the River Tiddy near St Germans. It then joins the River Tamar just below Saltash.
