The 13th century church, ancient grammar school and Bede House at Higham Ferrers in Northamptonshire have been described as the finest group of ecclesiastical buildings outside Cambridge. The grammar school is just in front of St Mary's Church, while the Bede House is out of shot to the right. Both were founded by Archbishop Henry Chichele in the early 15th century. The church contains a double nave and some superb medieval brasses. The stone cross on the right dates from medieval times.
