Portscatho is a pretty little former fishing village on the Roseland Peninsula in the south-west of Cornwall, a few miles from St Mawes. There's a very nice pub, the Plume of Feathers, a general store that sells freshly baked pasties, and one or two other shops and cafes. Over the years we've had many holidays here, usually staying in a large Edwardian house on the cliff-top. When we visited in March this year there were no inshore fishing boats at anchor in the tiny harbour though several small boats were to be seen at the top of the harbour's ramp.
