User / Baz Richardson - often away / Fishermen's shelter, Portscatho, Cornwall

I had often wondered what this pretty little square-shaped white building was on the clifftop overlooking the harbour at Portscatho. This is a former fishing village on the Roseland Peninsula in south-west Cornwall. As is so often the case, British Listed Buildings came up with the answer. Apparently it dates from the early 1800s - the Georgian era - and is a one-roomed boatmen's shelter. The walls are of slatestone rubble, and the pyramidal roof is of slate. It is Grade II-listed.
