The last section of single land seal on the Derby end of the Gibb River Rd. You can see the sidetrack (on the left) to be used while this last section is upgraded to two lane seal. Between here and Lennard River there are unsealed sections of gravel road. Most of the Gibb River Road East of Lennard River is unsealed as far as El Questro. G1X6790

For many years the first part of the Gibb River Rd from the Derby end was a one lane sealed road. G1X6787
With the trucking of oil from the Blina oilfield more and more seal (two lane) has been added. In the distance the road is being made with a side track in place. You can see the side track to the right ready for remaking this final section of seal.
