So, I posted this shot a few days ago and lo and behold, it became my very FIRST Explore shot. It only took about a year and a half. :) I was so excited last night when I saw a comment on this photo followed by ....seen in Explore!
I'm so grateful for this honor. Thank you to everyone who took a look at this shot and commented on it or made it a favorite.

Last week we had a huge snowfall. We packed the kids up and headed to a nearby sledding hill. There was so much snow falling it was almost hard to see through it. As I turned and looked back, the whole scene looked like a painting to me.
Yay! My second photo in Explore. :) (#352) Thanks for all the wonderful comments and favorites!

This is my first baby and the furry love of my life. Her name is Indy - short for Independence as we found her outside on July 4th when she was around 8 weeks old. She is a female orange tabby which is extremely rare. I've never seen another one and my vet says he hasn't either. If you start paying attention, you'll find the orange tabby cats you see are all male. Indy is now 11 and we've been through a lot together. I can't imagine life without her. She is, by far, one of the coolest cats I've ever met. I'm one lucky kitty mommy.

So, I'm pulling a photo from a few days ago to post for today's pic. My allergies are killing me and frankly, I've wanted to post this photo for a few days now. And I'm tired. So there.
When Tracy (surprise pally) came into town, we spent the better part of an hour photographing daffodils at the Morton Arboretum. There are over 100,000 of them in bloom right now...plenty to occupy any photographers entire day and then some!
Clearly, I had some fun with textures on this shot. Thanks to Pareerica for her Creamy Galaxy Texture and Clive Sax for his Golden Texture!
(the original photo is in the comments)
