I had always heard that any given lake would only have a pair of loons. Imagine my surprise to see 3 loons and then realize 2 of them were babies. We were out on the lake in the speedboat, spotted the loon, quick grabbed my camera and then got the treat of seeing the babies as well. Lucky, lucky us!

I was in constant pursuit of the loons. I didn't think I was ever quite close enough to get a good shot and then finally, I snagged this moment.
