... is about resisting temptations. Sometimes we would win and sometimes we would lose. If we win more than we lose then we would be happier.
That is my response to the oft asked question in travel, “What is life?” and I am opinionated. :-)

Varanasi, or Benares, or Kashi is the place where I took this candid photo. Based on photos from others of the same place, the striped steps background happens to be one of the most photographed backgrounds in Varanasi.
Apart from being a very holy city for the Hindus, Varanasi is also a very photographable place. I would recommend the city to photography enthusiasts visiting India as is a very good place to boost photography confidence, as it did with my confidence.

ps: This is one of the shots that would always elicit a “WOW” and/or a 'WHAT?"
I kept rolling my eyes, telling people that although well framed, it is such an easy shot to take. No major challenge there. The spiralling water is because the water was being sucked in by an under water hose, to be treated by a water treatment plant nearby.
No mystery there.
